Sherwood School District is pleased to announce Ms. Carey Wilhelm as the new Associate Principal at Sherwood High School.  Ms. Wilhelm currently serves as a Teacher on Special Assignment at Woodburn High School.  She will assume her new role on July 1, 2013.

“I look forward to joining such an amazing community of educators, students, and families,” said Wilhelm.

Ms. Wilhelm earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Willamette University.  She has spent the past nine years teaching math and coaching basketball and track at Woodburn High School.  Her math teaching experience includes everything from Pre-Algebra to Advanced Placement Statistics and she has served as a department coordinator.  In 2011, Ms. Wilhelm earned her administrative license through George Fox University and has been patiently waiting for the right opportunity to put her leadership skills to use.

“We feel very fortunate to bring Carey onto our school leadership team.  She brings a real passion for teaching and the entire high school experience,” said Ken Bell, who will take over as Principal at SHS on July 1.

Ms. Wilhelm currently resides in Woodburn with her husband and nine year old daughter.
