Sherwood High School Closed Monday, Dec 9

posted Dec 8, 2013, 6:13 PM by Corey Thompson
On the afternoon of Sunday, December 8, we discovered water damage at Sherwood High School.  It appears as though the water damage is the result of frozen pipes to two of the heating units.  Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue assisted with removal of the water and cleanup.

Due to the water damage to the building and inoperable heating units in parts of the building, there will be no school on Monday, December 9th for Sherwood High School students.

Afternoon and evening activities will be held as scheduled.

All staff will report for their regularly scheduled hours.

All other Sherwood School District schools will operate as usual; only Sherwood High School is affected.

Families will receive updates regarding school closure via FlashAlert, Synervoice and the District’s website.  The District is confident that classes will resume on Tuesday, December 10th.

Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for our students.
