Penny Salm selected as Laurel Ridge Associate Principal/Instructional Coach

Sherwood School District is pleased to announce Ms. Penny Salm as the new Associate Principal/Instructional Coach at Laurel Ridge Middle School.  Ms. Salm currently serves as the Instructional Coach at Sherwood Middle School, Teacher on Special Assignment at Laurel Ridge Middle School, and Collaboration Grant Manager for the Sherwood School District.  She will assume her new role on July 1, 2013.

“It has been a privilege to work with such a dedicated staff at Sherwood Middle School the past 17 years. They have been instrumental in helping me to develop the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in my career.  The last four months as a TOSA at Laurel Ridge Middle School have been very rewarding, and I am looking forward to continuing to collaborate with the incredible staff and getting to know a new group of students and families at LRMS,” said Salm.

Ms. Salm began her career in education teaching fifth and sixth graders in Warsaw, Indiana.  She has spent the past seventeen years serving in the Sherwood School District as a middle school teacher, coach, counselor, and most recently Instructional Coach, TOSA and Collaboration Grant Manager.  Ms. Salm is currently completing her Initial Administrative License through Portland State University.

We are pleased to add Penny to our leadership team at Laurel Ridge Middle School.  The passion, skills and experience she brings to her new role will serve our staff and students well.
