The Eugene School District announced Monday that Dr. Heather Cordie, current superintendent in the Sherwood School District, withdrew her candidacy from the running in their recruitment for a district superintendent.  Cordie was one of three finalists still being considered for the position that would begin July 1 of this year.

Superintendent Cordie stated, "I have said from the very beginning of this process that the right 'fit' is very important and upon reflection I determined that, at this time, it's best for me to continue serving in Sherwood.  I am grateful to the Eugene Board of Education, staff, and community who included me as a finalist in this very important process."
