Boundary Adjustment Update: Board adopts Modified BAC Recommendation

posted Mar 12, 2015, 11:06 AM by Tianna Hubbenette
The Sherwood School District Board of Directors adopted the Modified Boundary Adjustment Committee (BAC) Recommendation at its regular monthly School Board meeting on March 11, 2015.  The adoption passed 4-0.

The modified recommendation was developed by the District after receiving the Boundary Adjustment Committee's final recommendation in February 2015.  While the middle school boundary zones remained unchanged from the BAC recommendation of February, the elementary zones were affected by one modification: Rural Cell 4 (R4) would remain as currently zoned, at Edy Ridge, rather than being moved to Middleton Elementary as originally proposed by the BAC.

Sherwood School District will continue to communicate with parents, staff and students regarding the next steps in the boundary adjustment process to assist with transitions that will be a result of the new zoning.  The boundary change will be effective beginning in the 2015-16 school year.
