75+ Attend Boundary Committee Open House

As expected, the District’s Boundary Adjustment Committee Open House was very well attended and we are pleased with the results.  The first Open House was held at Middleton Elementary School from 6:30-8:00pm, on December 9th.  Over 75 attended and included community members, staff, district leaders, and Board members.  All had the opportunity to learn about the process itself and to view boundary adjustment options designed by the committee.  The audience was able to engage directly with the committee members, to ask questions and discuss each of the proposed options.  The evening was lead by facilitator Margot Helphand.

The Sherwood School District web site continues to be the best resource to find the most current information on the process, and includes the slide show presentation and boundary map options presented at the first Open House.  Additionally, an email link on the boundary process web page has been created where you can send comments electronically to the Boundary Adjustment Committee: boundarycommittee@sherwood.k12.or.us.  Feedback is shared with the committee and will assist them as they continue to examine various boundary options.  The results of the committee's continued work will be presented at the next Open House, scheduled for January 22, 2015 (please consult the Boundary Adjustment Process web page for time/location when confirmed).
