Upcoming Events:

• First Day of School -  Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 7, for grades 1-5 and September 9 for half and full-day kindergarten.  Classes for all grades begin at 8:00 a.m. each day and end at 2:15 p.m. Students should not arrive at school before 7:35 a.m.  All students arriving at school before 7:45 a.m. will be supervised in the cafeteria.  Afternoon Kindergarten begins at 11:40.  Students should not arrive prior to 11:30. 
• Kindergarten Orientation – Parents of kindergarten students will be receiving a letter from their child’s teacher regarding Kindergarten Orientation dates and times.  Kindergartener’s should plan on bringing their school supplies with them to the Orientation.

Parent Information:

• Transportation: Click here for bus routes and schedules.  Please contact the Transportation Dept. at 503-825-5900 with any questions.
• Medication: Parents requesting  medication be dispensed to their student while at school must comply with Oregon State law.  This applies to prescription medication as well as over the counter medications such as cough drops, Tylenol, Benadryl, etc.  The complete medication policy is in the Middleton Student Handbook.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 503-825-5300.
• Student Directory: If you DO NOT want your child’s personal information (name & phone number) to appear in the Student Directory you must put your request in writing and deliver it to the school office no later than Tuesday, Sept. 21^st.

• School Pictures:  School pictures will be taken Wednesday, Sept. 22nd.  Order forms will be sent home with students but are also available online at the following link: School Pictures Order Form
  

Volunteer Information:

• Volunteers, please remember to complete a new background check for the 2010-11 school year.  This must be done annually. You will not be allowed to help in the classroom until your background check has been approved.  Click here to link to the online form.

School Activities:

• FUN RUN – SEPT. 24TH!  Middleton students will run laps to raise money for great things at Middleton. Students will be asking parents, relatives and neighbors to pledge money to support activities at Middleton. The FUN RUN is our biggest fund-raiser of the year. Running or walking sponsored laps, enables each student to contribute to making our school a better place.

Community Information:

• Support Old Town Merchants and Sherwood Schools - The Sherwood Old Town Business Association is holding its second annual Community Street Sale and Fair on Saturday, September 11. Come out and support Old Town merchants and the Sherwood Education Foundation, which is the beneficiary of booth space sales.
